Institutional Effectiveness

AIU is committed to the continuous improvement of its academic programs and student services. Institutional Effectiveness is a comprehensive process used by the University that ensures the pursuit of quality improvements in a manner consistent with its mission and strategic priorities. Institutional Effectiveness activities are conducted under the oversight of the AIUS Institutional Research Department.

Data is regularly gathered and evaluated by each department, school/college, or division for the purpose of making improvements where needed. This information comes from a variety of student-focused sources. Students contribute to these improvement processes through various types of data collection activities including surveys, focus groups, nationally standardized assessments, evaluations of instructors and courses, and other inputs that allow students a voice in institutional decision-making. The information gathered from these activities, along with key performance indicator data, are used to improve the curricula, support services, and the overall student experience.
