Accreditation
American InterContinental University is a member of the American InterContinental University System. The System is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Programmatic Accreditation
- American InterContinental University is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) an accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. AAQEP accreditation affirms that a program prepares effective educators who continue to grow as professionals and that the program has demonstrated the commitment and capacity to maintain quality. AAQEP has reaffirmed seven-year accreditation for the educator preparation programs of the AIU System, renewing the status first earned in 2019. The includes AIU's Master of Education degree programs. AIUS will host its next AAQEP site visit prior to June 30, 2033, to maintain accreditation.
